To Pastors and Members of East District Congregations,

Dr. Reginald Bibby has produced a FREE eBook on the state of religious thinking in Canada. It is well worth ‘the read’, and can provide valuable information regarding the ‘culture’ in which you find yourself sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. You can find the book available here.

Some Conclusions that struck me were the following observations:

  • Older Canadians are set in their religious views
  • Younger Canadians born in Canada, desire a spiritual component but have no focus for it
  • Canadian youth and young adults are quickly becoming the fastest growing group of unreached persons in Canada
  • At the same time they demonstrate a desire for ‘something more.’
  • “HOPE” also seems to be the one thing, we as Biblical Christians can give to all, especially when it concerns death.
  • Youth and young adults desire something to join and participate in that makes a difference.

What better place to focus our attention on than the youth and young adults of our communities who need HOPE and a future.

Thanks to Rev. Jason Kouri for spotting this resource.

In Christ Jesus, Rev. Larry Gajdos LCC, East District Mission Executive
